I’m using a prusa i3 mk2 on the recommended print settings (215 hotend, 55 bed) with the PLA they provided, but I can’t get the 1st layer to work. It starts out fine but warps and bends until one end comes up and it loses adhesion. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. Here is a picture:
Are you using anything on the print bed? Painters tape, hairspray, glue stick?
I think I can tell by looking at it: wrong Z axis height. Lower it a little bit and use kapton tape. Hairspray and glue stick as last resort. Should not be necessary for PLA with a heated bed.
bye, Tibor
Need to adjust the first layer - more squish. Run the Prusa logo from the SD card to adjust the Live Z for first layer. Also, I run at 65 for the first layer then to 60 for the rest especially if the room is cooler. At 55 as it got cooler out I started having sticking issues also.
Clean the bed really good with alcohol or acetone. There is no need for additional stuff on the bed for PLA with this printer.
