hi can someone please help , i am printing a barrel with lots of detail on it , ideally i want to cut this in half and lay it down to print , but the barrel is empty , so i want to make it a solid object , at the moment it prints with supports everywhere , i want rid of supports and for it to print as a lump with an infill option , can anyone help

Load it into tinkercad.com. Add a cylinder inside it.

You could also try opening it in Meshmixer and extruding the inner surface, then using a plane cut to slice the object.

Additionally, you could draw a “slice” and revolve it to fill the interior of the barrel. This can be done by tracing the interior surface of the barrel with one path, draw a straight line from the top of the barrel to the centerline, draw another straight line from the bottom of the barrel to the centerline, and then connect those two straight lines with a line down the centerline. This polygon can then be revolved 360deg to fill the interior.

Ha ha ok , that sounds easy , you want to do it for me and earn some money ?

I doubt it will actually be that easy! I’m not the most comfortable with my mesh modeling capabilities yet, so I’d suggest finding a Hub that looks promising and see if they’d be wiling to do it by just submitting an enquiry.
