In partnership with 3D Hubs, we are launching Tio, a new technology platform to animate your prints.

Imagine being able to control and program your 3D prints in seconds using your smartphone or tablet. Imagine being able to create, test and program your IoT printed inventions with no coding or soldering. Imagine no more…

Tio is the kit anyone can use to easily create connected toys and inventions with everyday objects and materials including 3D prints. At the kit’s core is the Tio block: a wireless motorised building block with built-in RGB LEDs. This easily attaches to 3D prints with simple magnetic mounts. The block comes with magnetic accessories including wheels, pulleys and adapters to lift, rotate, flap, twirl and drive your 3D prints.

The free iOS and Android app communicates wirelessly with the inventions to customise and program them. Coding is possible but not required.

The app can control multiple blocks simultaneously and changes motor speed and direction as well as LED colours and patterns. The programming mode allows you to record and play back live actions as well as building program sequences.
