I really need some help with my monoprice select mini v2. I am having a hard time getting it to print anything. It will print the cat.gcode model just fine. I’ve downloaded a bunch of stl models from thingiverse. I’ve only gotten 2 models to print so far . One is an adapter for a 40mm gas mask. I opened the stl file in cura then loaded the gcode profile from the cat model. It printed fine. I’ve tried this same technique with my other models and when I go to print, the printer does nothing. The progress bar on the front of the printer begins moving like it’s printing but the printer does nothing. What am I doing wrong? I’m getting very frustrated.
How exactly did you load the gcode profile? If you are not already doing it this way, I would go to the start/end gcode menu in cura and past in the cat’s startup gcode. This way you can save it and use that same start gcode for all future prints. Have you tried the stock start/end gcode that comes with cura?
I think I found a solution. It appears the sd card was corrupted. I re formatted it and I save the gcode from cura to my computer not directly to the card , then copy it to the sd card.
Are you putting the gcode on the micro SD card and printing from it? If so, those cards have a very limited file system, and cannot handle too many files or files with long names. (The real limit is due to buffer space for the list of file names, looks like it’s only 256 characters.)
I have had that issue before. If you correctly eject the card from the computer/printer before removing it, it should not get corrupted again in the future.
