@Linda_Zouad @Daan_3D can you guys help with this? Cheers

Hi there!

I’ll have to take a closer look at this (am currently not at the PC, will check within the next few hours, but I’m sure, that I can help you anyway.

I’ll edit this comment after I’ve taken a look at the models.

Cheers,

Marius

I’ve checked the model in my slicer software (Simplify3d) and there was no issue with the object, where should the random edges be ?

Please upload a screenshot from the model in your slicer software, so that I can see, where your problems are.

It would help if you’d specify, what you want to change in the model and why it’s unpritable.

Cheers,

Marius

Hi @Cuibaru_Cristia,

Thanks for your question, I’ve checked the model as well, but couldn’t really find any issues with the model.

Did you originally model the object on a smaller scale? It would definitely help if you could post some screenshots to point out the exact issue you’re having trouble with.

@bgreenslade thanks for your help, it’s cool to see you active on Talk as well!

Cheers,

Hi @Ciubaru_Cristia

There are some problems with your model file. It appears there are shell punctures, meaning the model is not watertight. I analyzed it with netfabb studio - there is a free version at www.netfabb.com You can see those issues in the screenshot I’ve attached. Check out their free cloud-based model repair service. You only need a free Microsoft user account to access it and it is quite fast. Hope that helps! - Eric

Did you manage to solve it, @Cuibaru_Cristia?

Hi - I quickly tried to fix it in Meshmixer (free from 123dapp.com) and in the Netfabb cloud service. Even though I can see the design and its full shape, there seems to be too much wrong with it for these services to fix the .STL file. What design software did you use? Can you export the .STL file again - and check if there are options for precision and number of triangles in the mesh output, such as there are in CAD software like Inventor and Solidworks. The problem appears to be an issue with your CAD software’s output from its model information for your design.

What software are you trying to use to print it, and on what machine? While the STL file has issues, some slicers work well enough to make a print - hard to know here.
