Hi, very first time ever dabbling into 3D printing. I want to make my uncle a gift of a 3D printed pole top. My uncle would love a royal scots dragoon guards themed item, so i have been trying to find a way to make a 3d model of one, but i can only get as far as a png file of the badge, any help on how i would go around extruding the image so there is certain parts that are more and less extruded would be great. I will attach the png file of the badge, and a colored version of the badge, so you could get an idea of what would need to be extruded. Thanks.
First, I’ll need the diameter of the pole you are making this topper for. Then, I need a basic size that you want the model.
Finally, I’ll try to mess around with the file and see what I can get! If it works, I’ll attach the file to print and you can print it at my hub (https://3dhubs.com/raleigh/hubs/aiden.) My prices start from $3.50.
Hi, is there any way you could just make the file, as I have a relative who is willing to let me use his 3D machine, and is the mode going to be just flat 3D, like just the picture extruded, or is there going to be detail on the back, like the wings extending, and the head concaved. I will get back to you on specifics on the sizes. Thanks
