As mentioned on a thread in Reddit 3D Hubs is no longer running the files through Netfabb during upload. This is something that should have been listed in the changelog for us to know. I have got a few files lately that could have really used it.
You can use the microsoft fixer at https://tools3d.azurewebsites.net/
The only downside with that is it gives back a 3mf file. Since I have windows 10 I open their 3d builder program and then import file and save as stl

I prefer this, but agree about the change-log. I would rather do repair on my end. I do a lot of thin walled designs and the automated netfabb has ruined some of my customer’s designs in the past, forcing them to send them to me through e-mail. You can still get the old (free) version of netfabb if you dig around.
On the flip side, broken objects that are non-manifold sometimes show up as 0 volume, therefore zero cost. I’ve had two of these orders already. When you look at final cost, 0 cost for the model, fixed price for shipping, 3d Hubs takes their percent and 25% for being a student. Then they order 200 of them.
Then the order is canceled and you get bad metrics for your hub.
