Hi guys, I have never used a 3D modelling software before, but with some help and youtube tutorials I have started my file, it is complete but I need to add thickness… which I know how to do but I don’t know how to vary the thickness on different surface sections. I have attached an image of what I mean. Basically it needs to flow from thin to thick to thin. Does anyone know how complicated this might be to do, or is there someone who would be willing to help me complete the file on commission?

Hi Tania,

You might want to take a look into the Loft command. Essentially, you have to set up the profile of each region, then provide the path the loft follows, and the program will calculate a smooth shape between the profiles. There are plenty of YouTube videos detailing how to use Loft, so check those out and see where you can get with them. It’s not too hard to do, just takes a little bit to work out the process.

Hi! Thanks so much for the advice. I tried to have a go but as I am so short on time I don’t think I will be able to achieve it. Do you offer a modelling service to complete files like this? Im not sure on how to find someone that will take this on, I am just quite desperate at this point.
