I just purchased a FFCpro and realized that in our house, in winter, I have no where to really operate it in a safe manner. I don’t want to release any ultra-fine particles (UFP) in the house. Has anyone tried any of the fume extractors that seem to be available? I have seen 3DPrintClean and BOFA 3D PrintPro3. My only other option would be to build an enclosure and vent out a window which would be likely to cool at this time of year.
I am awaiting an Inventure as well so I should be up and running at least once it gets here with its built in filtration. It would be nice to have both running though. Thanks, Jim
I got a bucket and one of those exhaust fans that go in the ceiling in a toilet or bathroom etc, drilled a bunch of holes in the bucket and filled it with activated charcoal. I don’t know for sure, but it has definitely reduced the smell when printing ABS.
Interested to see in a month or so how much particulate has been captured.
what are your concerns with UFPs?
i have 3 kids and share similar concerns so I mainly print in PLA
