Hello. I just opened and set up a new FlashForge Finder printer. And when I tried to level the printing plate, it only rose a couple inches. Then the printer head moved all the way to the right and made a horrible grinding sound. The grinding lasted for about 15 seconds then stopped. And the leveling process went nowhere after that. If you have a fix, please let me know! This is a Christmas present for my son and I’m trying to get it set up for Christmas morning so we can print something together. Thank you!

Hi, there is a sensor to the right. it stops the printhead when it moves to the side. there is a switch on this sensor. check if a small led light on the sensor flashes up when you touch itbwoth your finger. if not than check if the plugs on the sensor are connected. maybe you have to open up the finder to check if the connector is properly plugged in on the mother board. maybe due to transportation the plug got lose. So i guess it is an issue with the sensor. you can also check if the switch on the sensor - the metal part is bent somehow and maybe does not activate. If you need any spare parts you can order the switch for example from

Try putting some grease on the screw and on top binaries
