I am a new 3D print user and recently purchased a FlashForge Creator Pro. I made the test print and was getting up to speed with downloading objects and working thru the processes of printing them. I made a couple of successful prints when my printer suddenly became inoperable. Here is what is happening:
It will power up, and the lights and control panel illuminate.
I can navigate thru the options and menus.
The extruders and print bed preheat.
The problem is none of the mechanicals work ie:
the print bed does not operate,
the filament feed does not operate and
the extruder head does not move.
I can move the extruder head and print bed manually but they will not move when running the bed leveling script nor when I try to make a print (from SD card). The control display indicates that a print job is progressing but nothing is happening. Its as if there is no longer communication between the controller and the mechanical actuators.
Any help with troubleshooting this is appreciated.
Double check that you have selected the correct printer in flashprint. It can reset after an update. It is in one of the top menus. Hopefully that helps.
Not using flashprint and have not updated anything.
Not it even the leveling script makes anything move.
Check the limit switches upon the X axis near the print head’s start position; which upon my machine is the front right corner.
Sounds like you have the same issue I had, the limit switch was sticking closed
Ahh OK. I would try flashprint and a new/different sd card for a start. Your using an sd correct? Not USB?
I previously checked all the switches…no luck with those. They all seemed to be operating correctly.
Not only will the extruders and bed not move it will not feed (load/unload) filament even though the extruders are up to temperature. I can push through filament by hand so I know they’re not clogged. It seems there is no communication between the software and mechanical actuators.
Are you trying to move via the control panel in jog mode on the actual machine or from your computer?
Check the ground connection between the steppers with the power supply.

Re seat all cables on the main board, steppers and end stops. Let us know if that makes a difference.
