Hi Guys,
I am using a pre-owned FFCP and having trouble with leveling the bed with the paper method.
The problem is that I screw the screws in so much that the spring is compressed all the way, and it won’t screw any more, however the extruder is still hitting the bed. how do I adjust the bed to be down like a mm or so so that the screws will actually work to level the bed?
I’ve tried setting the home offset in Z axis, but it doesn’t seem to do anything.
I’m a total 3d printing noob, so I’m very likely making basic mistakes!
thanks in advance for any help!!

One thing that comes to mind is the nozzle height may need to be re-adjusted, especially if the printer was shipped to you and jostled around.
Maybe this youtube video could help:

do you have glass on the build surface?

Start by loosening both hotends and moving them up to give you more room… if that doesn’t work you can change the z offset in the firmware but try moving the hot ends further into the block first.
^first thing that popped into my mind^

Adjust the upper limit switch or check to see if it is loose. You may be able to get a mm or two out of it without touching your nozzles. Or make a temporary shim with taped down washer that will contact the switch while you make a new shim.
