Hello,

Im using a prusa i3 mk2, with PLA.

My problem is that the first layer is not constant and it looks like little interrupted drops of plastic. Also the line seems a bit too wide. the overall quality of the part is bad.

.

Any idea of what could cause this? See the picture attached

Thanks!

Arno

Hi there,

Maddie here from 3D Hubs.

It looks like your nozzle is too close to the bed, I’d suggest adjusting your offset.

I hope this helps!

Looks like the nozzle is to close to the bed. Adjust the Live Z to move it further away but remember to make small changes and see the result.

You may want to re-run the V2 calibration and make sure you run it to completion so it store s the value.

Nozzle is to close by to the heatbet. You need to setup the height of the nozzle to receive good results. Check the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_LqgABOICQ.
