Prusa I3 Mendel that I’m trying to re-firmware (Marlin) due to a dodgy board, I have this display:

www.electrodragon.com/product/ramps-2004-lcd-smart-controller-reprap/

Which I take as the ‘#define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_SMART_CONTROLLER’ in the firmware, however enabling it in the firmware doesn’t lead to the screen functioning I’ve tried a few of the other options in the firmware but are unable to get it to even light up the display.

If possible can I please get some assistance on how to get this display to run via the Marlin Firmware?

Other details are:

Does your screen light up? I mean the back-light.

If not, make sure your cables are not inverted (EXP1 & EXP2). It’s not dangerous for your screen if you inverted them, it just keeps it from functioning.

Although you said it was a re-firmware, maybe you rewired your entire board.

Other than that, if it is conform to the original design, it should work with just the config you set up.
I can past my config here if you need to, just tell me.
