I have a Flash-forge finder 3D printer which was working fine when first out of the box but 19 hours on it is now extruding PLA much like candy floss (Cotton Candy) and it does not adhere at all to the build plate. The printer has also cut out completely several times: needing the power button to be pressed again to restart it.

To gain better adhesion I have tried using the glue stick supplied with the unit, painters masking tape stuck on to the build platform and I also tried the factory reset option without any success. This fault occurs with the preloaded examples models and without a computer connected to the unit.

I have one or two ideas about what may be causing the problem but cannot find any decent data covering the printer’s assembly or troubleshooting information in either the PDF manual or on the manufacturer’s website.

Has anyone experienced these problems with this equipment and offer advice or a fix or a location where I can find reliable fault finding data please.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
