I oringally printed these skulls with one goal in mind, to sand, polish, and seal and to be a fancy paper weight on my desk. This explains the infill and the wall thickness.
I have spent the past week printing Filamentive Woodfill trying various finishes from sanding, staining, and polyurethane. I have to start by saying that this is the easiest woodfill I have used, the layers stick excellently and there never was a jam before, during, or after prints. A characteristic that stuck out to is how dark the filament is, this is one of the darker woodfills I have found and used. Another characteristic I noticed that I liked about Filamentive’s filament is how much it resembles wood. That is a major plus for Filamentive as many other woodfills look and feel more like plastic and don’t have the word charactoristics.
