Hi @Filemon et al,

your filament workshop are a briliant idea. But unfortunately the distances are too huge to visit one of the workshops for a reasonable price.

I think there are many hubs out there facing the same situation: They would really love to join a workshop but travellig several hundreds of km is not an option.

So here is my question: Wouldn’t it be possible to start online workshops in addition to the local workshops?

What do the other hubs think about it?

Cheers,

Joerg

I like the idea. Maybe hold one, record and drop on youtube just to give the newest guys help and tips.

I know I have to mod my machine before I can submit a print that I find worthy of being called a marvin. I just have to make sure Radio Shack is still open so I can buy the diode I require - otherwise I have to order online and wait, and wait, etc.

Hi @Joerg_4,

Thanks for the good vibes, I totally get the point. So, first let me note that we’re going to role these events out globally. Amsterdam this week, New York next. Then London, Stuttgart, and Vienna (and 3 others) as 2nd tier pilot cities. After that, we will release the event template for our Mayors to use “in the wild”

Nonetheless, making content available online is not a bad idea at all and we should look into that. Speaking of which, maybe we can film the event in London as it will most likely be held at Google Campus (@Cinter?). Let’s check.

Thanks again, great support hearing you guys like the idea. Makes my day

Cheers
