Hi everyone!
I was hoping someone could help me with this. Some friends of mine and I are trying to make a filament with small particles in it. Two problems: We have a sheet of starting material to use, but cutting it up into small enough pellets for the extruder (we currently have a filabot) is pretty time consuming, which I can deal with, but if there’s a way to use larger pellets, that would be great. Also (the problem REAL problem, the little particles in it are getting crushed when they’re pushed along by the screw. We’ve trying modifying it, but no luck.
Are there any extruders that would give us a printable filament, that don’t use a screw? Maybe something like a syringe that you could fill, heat, and then compress through the extruder? Any other thoughts to help me out?
Thanks in advance!

I would recommend a chipper shredder for breaking it down more and for the particles, I would try to use a syringe type injector to add the particles in the last inch or less of the screw. Has to be a powerful metal one though. High heat and pressure there. Good luck… if it works send me some lol
