My Flashforge Finder(version1.3) print stops after a few seconds and the extruder returns to home and the screen says “filament error”. The filament extrudes fine with the “load” function and appeared to be extruding fine until the printer stops. I am attempting to print with nylon. The printer says it should go up to 250 but when I ask it to go to 250 in the gx file it says 240 on the printer.
Is FILAMENT ERROR caused by too much resistance during the print but not during the load function? Is the finder programed to fail with higher temperatures? Why would it change the selected temperature in the gx file from 250 to 240?
yes I know the difference between PLA and poly amid and I am accepting the consequences.
the machine still prints fine with PLA so I didn’t break it yet.
I haven’t replaced the hot end yet but an all metal one is coming in the mail.

I am a bit of a noob, but I have had this error printing PLA with the Finder while using the cartridge spool at the back of the printer. I ended up putting a piece of tape over the sensor that checks for filament and I have never seen this error since.
