I’m having problems printing anything because my fan duct hangs lower than the nozzle itself. I’ve used the included fan duct and one from thingiverse that I was barely able to print and still can’t get it to work. Is there a way I can replace the extruder housing so it doesn’t hang below the nozzle?

Thanks!

The original fan duct should just barely clear the end of the nozzle. My assumption is that the bed leveling is off resulting in numerous issues. Would you mind uploading some photographs?

You can always adjust your hot end down, then recalibrate the bed. You didn’t mention what machine you have, but if it is a dual extruder, the second hot end would have to be adjusted too. Then the machine should have a dual extruder calibration that can be performed.

It’s the Monoprice Maker Select/wanhao duplicator i3 single extruder

The bed can’t be properly leveled because the fan duct is actually hanging lower than the extruder nozzle. I don’t have a photo right now but it can’t be the bed.

The extruder housing should never hang below the nozzle but if it does, it is tough to replace the extruder housing. However, it is still manageable. Better contact a technician for your needs.
