The thing about pp cf is it is not the typical cf, you don’t have the fibers overlapping so you don’t get the same look. But you definitely get a good alternative! Still worth playing with. I actually talked to the owner of pp about their cf and it’s not really stronger than abs, I used it to print a dji inspire camera mount so I could mount a 3d camera on it and the mount has held up very well! I printed cf on a makerbot 2x with a .4 tip and I didn’t have a problem at all. The only thing about the cf is that it is very abrasive! I print it with zero heat on a Fleks3d build plate without a problem. Protopasta offers around $7-10 off a sample spool, you get a good amount, or you can use your 3d hubs discount perks code. I would definitely get a sample spool.
Good eye! Yes I go to KSU. I don’t print all if these models, most but not all, I have a good relationship with the head chair of the Construction Management Department so I can get access to their Stratasys uPrint se and have a good relationship with the Shop Manager of the Architecture department so they let me toy with their Makerbot 2x. I have also done a lot of playing with my 2.0a to make it better, it also helps that I use Simplify3d. Some of the other prints I have, I have ordered on 3d Hubs. Sourced the community! Abassadors perks
I will definitely have to try that out! Does your Hub offer that?
In response to you asking me to a PM.

you miss polycarbonate, its the best material to get strong and sturdy parts with high temperature resistance. You can even get screw threads inside it easily.
This is the best PC i know, made in cooperation with the inventors of polycarbonate:
