Don’t upgrade your CTC through Makerbot it either won’t work or you will lose functionality (like cards bigger than 2g).

search for sailfish and upgrade from that.

You have to use Replicator G to update you CTC.

Start Replicator G go to File => Preferences => Advanced. Change the Firmware Update URL to “http://jettyfirmware.yolasite.com/resources/release/firmware.xml 19”.

Then go to Machine Update Firmware. Chose the Replicator 1 Single & Dual with Atmega2560 (I hope this was correct… please correct me if I’m wrong). Then chose Sailfish 7.7 and follow the instructions

This is wrong information. You have the 1280 processor. You must download the repg from thingiverse repGr33. It is the only thing that will work. Using the version supplied with you printer will corrupt your eeprom maps with sailfish.

If you are having trouble with the stock software, I had a similar problem and Makerbot told me to make sure makerware is completely gone off my computer and redownload the software. It worked for me.

My CTC was really picky about USB ports when upgrading to Sailfish 7.7 - I could not get the upgrade to work on the PC I normally have connected to it. I then tried my Macbook with the same results - timeout errors when hitting the upload and reset buttons. Finally tried an old Acer laptop I have with a USB 2.0 port - worked first try.

Make sure you’re using ReplicatorG (Sailfish edition) NOT Makerbot Desktop to do the upgrade.
