Enter 3DST #40: Miniatures

Hey fellow Makers and Hubbers!

Tomorrow Sketchfab’s 3DST is back, this weeks theme is: Miniatures.

3DST stands for 3D scanning Thursday, that’s a weekly contest anyone can enter (3D Hubs sponsors the contest with a 25$ voucher so you can get your winning scan printed).

I’m sure everyone of you has already 3d printed a miniature of some sort (Marvin anyone?), perfect you’ll need one to scan tomorrow , note that it does not need to be 3d printed

Lovely giggling Groot will be my subject of choice.

This weekly contest is a nice opportunity to get your head around 3d scanning. You can use the scanning process of your choice (hand held scanner, smartphone + 123D Catch or whatever you want to experiment with). You could even build your own scanner!
