Emendo is a
horrible product. There is a reason they don’t allow a trial use of their software. I was concerned about buying something untested and my gut instinct proved correct. I sent them a file that was giving me trouble and the CEO sent me an image of the repaired file assuring me that it had been fixed. I bought Emendo with their assurances that it would work only to find out that the file may have appeared repaired on the front, but was in fact, still unrepaired on the back side. Not only was I unable to reproduce their stated results, but the software kept crashing and was unbelievably slow. I told them that I had downloaded a competitors software that was able to fix this badly made file in less than 4 seconds and that their software could not after churning away for over an hour and often crashing in the attempt.
The reply I received was always an excuse and blaming me for the file I made (even thought their competitor fixed it with no problem) and never answering the questions of constant crashing, length of time to repair a file and the odd anomaly of importing a file into Emendo and it would be invisible so you couldn’t see what you were repairing. I asked for a full refund for the failure of a product and due to their false claims as to its effectiveness. Crickets. They didn’t even give me the courtesy of a response.
I do not recommend this product. I should have followed my own instinct never to buy software I can’t try out. Lousy product, lousy company and lousy service.

Thanks Perry. I tried them, but they weren’t able to fix it either. Granted, the file I created was a mess but Limitstate Fix fixed the file perfectly, literally in less than 4 seconds. It is extremely expensive, however. That’s why I thought Emendo would be such a bargain if it could fix the file at such a bargain price. I will make any future projects better now that I know what to look out for.
Wow is that expensive! Talk about price yourself out of the market.
Yeah, I guess if you have a small company it could be a bargain, but for one person it’s a lot of cost to get over. Sure works well, though. It didn’t even blink with my bad file.
Did you buy it and actually print the fixed file?
If you’re referring to Limitstate Fix, I downloaded the free trial. It doesn’t allow you to save the fixed print. I unfortunately did buy Emendo and greatly regret it.
Yea, I meant the Limitstate. My issue would be, and especially for the amount they charge, I want to see the fixed file work. I would want a month or tow to test it.
I have tested many software apps that claim amazing file recovery (You know, recover your deleted files!!!) and have the same bait. Give it a try for free and we will show you how much you can recover. Then you buy it and find they were full of it. The software could identify things but usually do little more.
I agree. That’s why I was so reluctant to buy Emendo. Little did I know that the image of the fixed file wasn’t showing the still damaged mesh on the back side I couldn’t see. In Limitstate, I was able to turn the model 360 degrees. At least I’m only out $80 instead of 500 pounds ($?) I understand why they don’t allow full access, but it makes it really difficult to properly assess their software.
