After weeks and months of waiting I finally finished my printer today.
Calibrated and setup after finding the filimant cooler duct kept wiping the filinant of the bed !
finally tried to print one of the free designed with the mag and guess what, print bed starts to judder and grind. Can here the motto skipping on the belt when it goes fully back, does this twice just for good measure.
Then once all the grinding and jumping is over it starts to print yah I think it sorted its self out and away we go !
how wrong was I ! The filimant isn’t sticking to the bed, cleaned the plate with IPA refitted tried again. Once the jump and grind finish d again off we went it’s stuck now great. Then for no reason after about the first layer it comes loose again and after 10 minutes a great big glob of partially melted filimant is round the extruder.
Frankly this is the biggest pile of poop I’ve come across. I work with HP Lexmark koi and god knows how many other printers in my job and I’ve never seen shuch a pile. I hope eaglemoss listen to this as I’m not a happy bunny at all. Think trading standards need a word about these fly by night characters
Exactly the the same problems we having. I e basically got a £600odd quid door stop.
Ive tried the support from eagle moss and still await a response
the cooler duct just as you say wipes the base clear nothing sticks I’ve cleaned it with IPA. Tried masking masking tape on the bed. The judder and grind is destressing to say the least. I’ve spend 23 years as an IT service tech and. Ever seen such a shoddy built unit
1. Have you noticed how close the adjusting screws are together , and that they are of set to one side of the print bed, this makes it very hard to adjust the bed level. And the print plate on mine slides about 1/16th back and forth on the “X” axis, so had to use tape to stop it sliding.
2. The input fan is under the vent holes so very little air reaches the front of the printer. were the stepper motor drives are, and what air they do get is already heated by the air from the power supply, so the drives will burn out after a short time.
I am now looking at gutting all the electronic , and power supply and try to fit well know brand parts. Plus add a small fan somewhere near front to blow air over the electronic. I have work out a way to remove the wobble in the header, but means I’ll loss about 15 to 20mm off print width.
