I’ve got a model that I’m trying to print, and it keeps shifting to the back every 5-10 layers. I’ve re-sliced it (and repositioned on the build platform) with similar results. Tried 3 times now. Other models (like the sample ones built-in) print fine. I’ve printed this model on Makerbot Replicator 2X before, the geometry is fine.

I’m using Autodesk Print Studio for slicing, save to USB, then print.

Any ideas why this would happen? I can hear the printer clunking at the points that is causing the shift - but no idea what is causing the “crash”, and why only this model?

If other models are printing fine, it may be that the print speed is too high or z hop is not enabled.

Thanks for the reply - I haven’t had time to troubleshoot any further. No option for z-hop in Autodesk Print studio. Print speed is standard, have never had this problem before (even on my Rep2X).
