What is the smallest bolt and nut that can be reliably 3D printed? Thanks so much!

Depends on the thread and print quality, but I’d say M4. I think I can get mine to print an M4 with the standard M4 thread pitch and all. Did you need some printed?

Yeah, if you don’t mind could you test print some of the M4 bolts and nuts to see how well they work?

Sure, I’ll give them a try and let you know later today.

Here they are! They are tiny!!! I can get the nut on, but it is really tight. I would probably stick to M5. Did you want to order some?

Yeah, I might order some in the future. I am working a project to where I need bolts to scale and these just might work. Thanks so much for printing these.

No problem! You should just be able to click on my name and it will take you to my Hub. There is a thingiverse customizable item for nuts and bolts, so check it out. Thats how I made the others. Let me know if you need any help.

Thanks so much for the help!

Just use a tap and dye on them and they won’t be tight anymore.
