I have a new roll that is very rough - bumpy on one side of the filament. I pulled a bunch from the roll and it is like that all the way.

I don’t believe it is moisture since it just came from a vacuum sealed bad with desiccant.

I am having some printing problems with this filament and wonder if this may be the cause.

I could see where it could cause some erratic extrusion.

Thanks for any thoughts.

If your filament is not smooth (equal radius throughout the roll) it is likely bad. It could have been a bad extrusion when the filament was created. Picture?

It does seem it is a bad extrusion when made. I’ll try to get a pic when I can. In the meantime it is like little bumps on one side or 1 quarter side. At first I thought it was teeth marks when I felt it but I ruled that out as it seems to go for a long time and really does look like little bumps or blisters.
