I have a product that was previously produced in stainless steel and whilst it was very effective in SS I believe that it would be far more successful if printed in HD materials.I am very keen to develop a prototype using the heat resistant plastic material ( as the product I wish to development is mainly for outdoor use ).
The product is approximately 300mm long/40mm wide/40mm deep.I do not have a file of the product only photos and sketches. I am based in Sydney (sutherland shire) and would greatly appreciate some advise.
We print in ABS, and are based up the coast from you. We may be able to help, depending on how the product needs to be printed. 300mm would be just a little bit too long for us to print in one go, but if its for a prototype there shouldnt be too much of an issue in printing in two sections. Also depends on just how ‘heat resistant’ you need. (ABS is classed as quite heat-resistant, but not fully so) It may be that you require something specialist and more heat-resistant, like Objet High Temperature material. We cant help you there but if ABS is your choice, we can!
Anyhow, would be interested to see a sketch & see what you have in mind. Maybe you cant say much more in an open forum, but feel free to contact me via @Bay3D with more info & we can discuss your print & design requirements.
I can help design and print this product and can also help you create a mold for casting if you require this in metal. I currently use Autodesk fusion 360 for creating the model and am able to print in abs or pla and then make molds off the final print quality for reproduction in silicone/resin/other plastics heat resistant and also metal.
Contact me I’m in Sydney’s west, we can have a detailed discussion about what you require.
