im officially loosing, I need someone with cad experience to help me. I am working on an adapter for my company and I just can’t get this thing to work. I am trying to take the back 1/2 inch of an AR lower (the threaded section) and attach it to a block so it will bolt onto my Tapco T6 Stock allowing me to install a MagPul AR PRS. Can someone please help me with this.

Hey.

That’s pretty specialised stuff ya got there, Dude.

I get that you’re trying to fit one of these…

onto one of these…

and one of these…

…but I can’t see how it would all go together.

Think it’s probably best to take a few pictures and describe exactly what’s needed.

I’m sure there’ll be someone here who can do it but they may not be intimate with gun design so you’ll have to give us some more to work with.

Good luck!

If you are switching from the T6 to the PRS you need a Receiver Extension Tube, no?

Right lads, the MagPul PRS when on an AR require the original M16A1 long round tube, not the adjustable tubes that are common everywhere. The way the T6 stock works, is its like the one picture that was posted below with the adjustable stock just mounted to a square block with 2 holes in it for mounting. I’ll post pictures of the T6 stock tonight when I get home.

basically I need the plastic nub from the T6 to be mated to the forward side of what would be the modified AR rear mount section where the tube mounts. That way I can screw in the long AR tube and mount the MagPul PRS

Ok so this is the idea, take the T6 mount that goes into the stock, mate it to the ARs threaded tube section. Important to note that the top inside of the thread must be at the top of the T6 adapter in order to maintain the original stock aspects of the T6 collapsible stock. Inturn this will allow the user to mount a AR long Tube required to run a MagPul PRS stock.

OK an important detail I think I missed originally. The Tapco is NOT an AR platform? So you are trying to mount the Magpul via an AR tube onto something else like a 10/22 or AK? This might get you closer than carving up a lower:

Yah I’m trying to mount an AR tube onto and SKS, which has the Tapco T6 stock, so I need the T6 stocks insert nub ( because the T6 comes in 2 parts, main and rear stock) to go to an AR tube mount.

I have someone building the Unit should be done soon thank you all for the help so far
