Hi there everybody, I have a problem I cannot resolve… in the middle of the print the printer started to underextrude the object. Stopped the print, tried again, but still underextruding… the filament pusher does “stuck” sound. I cleaned well the extruder, also with needle and iron stick from above, it looked like it was solved, but after thirty minutes here again the same thing… when I push and retract the filament at the beginning it’s a little bit harder then usual but then it flows perfectly. Start the print another time, starts well and then again! Done this many times now, but always the same!!!

Any clue?!

We have the same problem, even if we cleaned the nozzle and changed PTFE tube.

I can’t stand it anymore!!! Cleaned it many times and the problem persists!!! Pffffffff…

If you haven’t changed any settings and it Was printing fine and there are to temp errors then I would say preheat to abs, remove the nozzle, place it on concrete or a rock and heat it with a propane torch until the plastic extrudes out and burns off. Then blow out the spot and wash it, coat the threads with anti-sieze and screw it back in.

Might also try cleaning the feed wheels on the feeder and slowing down the speed a bit. Always start with a fresh cut end because of the bulge that forms when the material feeds faster than the nozzle can extrude it.

Speed is 60… (30 for the first layer…) isn’t it already low?

Yes, so that isn’t the issue unless one of the two head heating wires is broken. Are you watching your head temps? Are they steady or fluctuating?

Excuse me for the question, but… what are the head temps?

The extruder temperature. It should show it on the printers display while printing.

Ok, it was an abbreviation… I print in pla and set 62 for bed and 190 for noozle, they are not oscillating! Stable at those temperatures!

Then I would say burn that nozzle out.

The printer is not mine, it’s university’s, so I think this could be a too intrusive operation that I am not allowed to…
