Hey @3dpGeek, I know you own a Da Vinci - any idea if this is possible?
You can, they sell refills. The refills are a couple bucks cheaper than buying a new cartridge completely. I personally just buy a new cartridge. Around me the refills are a little harder to find.
XYZ is having a Wednesday filament sale so I would check that out.
I have flashed my duo so I don’t use the cartridges anymore. Before I did that though I bought something to reset the chips so that I could use other filament instead of buying theirs. It is much cheaper that way. HOWEVER, they changed XYZWare shortly after that to send all of your print jobs to their servers , calculate how much filament you used and if they decided you had been resetting the cartridges (I heard) they would brick your printer or make the extruder smash into the bed and break it. That’s when I decided to flash the firmware.
TLDR; they are meant to be one time use to the best of my knowledge. XYZPrinting is upset they can’t use the inkjet printer business model in a opensource dominated market/community.
Is it a 2.0 or 2.0a? What version did you flash with?
I just learned that mine is a 2.0 not a 2.0a thanks to another thread. Mine is not blue so it’s a 2.0. I found this out immediately after I replied to your comment in the other thread. Sorry about the confusion.
