Hi,

Every scanner technologies have pro and con. We usually print with our ZCorp many object directly 3d modeled and textured in software, but when we have to print scanned objects, we need to do a little pre-process for achieve the best result with really nice colors, and of course we have developed a method to finish our print, that extract colors like no other method. If you are interested you can contact me, i can print your models and support you in every steps. Of course i can offer you a 50% discount on a sample, just send me your test file.

Regards,

Fabio

I’ve got old Z510 and I have toyed with an idea of scanning people and printing miniatures of them. I’m looking for budget solution to this as I’ve spent most of my money when I bought my other (new) printers last year.
I was pleasantly surprised with result when I scanned a teddy bear with Kinect 360 using demo version of Skanect software but I didn’t print it. I still haven’t made up my mind on the subject and if there is some other reasonable budget solutions I’m extremely interested in them.

Good evening the theater is already built and we’re finishing the complete automation of the system .
In the shorter I can provide a data sheet of the technology we developed scrivetici well to our direct email for more information gaiasolutionsnc@gmail.com

Hello KauPang,

I would like you to evaluate a couple of files. See if quality is print worthy (no need to print yet) and give me a quotation for 3 sizes : 9, 12 & 15 cm in full glorious colours.

I will send you first .PLY and then .OBJ. One of the files has good lightning not so much the other.

Is it OK to send you the files? Your quotation would be exworks, no postage required yet.

Tks & rgds

PSD. And where are you located?

Although Sense 3D and the structure sensor might have pretty much the same precision, the structure sensor is definitely better if you compare both scans. This is because Occipital, the guys behind the strcuture sensor, have released an SDK therefore there are a lot of good apps that are already available for scanning objects, people or even spaces (like room or interiors).

Some of these apps (like itseez 3d ) do a post-processing of the scan that ends up in very good results. Obviously still not comparable to professional scanners but sill good considering the price of the device.

Here you can find some of the scans I have done with the Structure (it was during an event with very bad lighting and I used an older version of the app, now you can also do full body scan and not just busts…):

Hey imalize,

Where did you get all the motorized parts in your scanning setup? I’ve been looking for a turntable and scanner rail system. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

thanks,

mark

I’ve had those projects bookmarked for a while now. I was wondering how you motorized your scanner rig. Got any references for how you did that? Maybe a few close-up photos would help!

Mark
