i turned my printer on after upadating the firmware and there is nothing there the screen light up but its just blue no sound and buttons dont work need help urgently

Did the firmware update correctly or did you get any error messages?
No it didn’t as the printer is just a shell now I feel like it needs a new motherboard maybe?
Well there are ways to flash the firmware without the firmware working. Like on a bare chip.
How would I do that! I’m new to 3D printing I have no clue and feel like an idiot who wasted his money
Well what you probably did is press reset more than one time during the update. That basically wiped the bootloader then. But it can be fixed using an usb programmer like usbasp. Those are available quite cheaply on eBay for example see here: Redirecting to Google Groups 7
And then what would I do after I buy that? What would the next steps be? How would I get my printer working again

I had same problem. I tried about 15 times updating firmware again altough screen was blue and nothing on it. So try reseting and updating many times again. It helps if u turn your printer laying on its face. When updating starts succesfully, green led printer bottom near reset button starts blinking different speed. Then its blinking different let it be only and after some time update is readyI thinked also that my motherboard is broken but i hardly tried and it worked. Now my ctc prints nicely with sailfish firmware
