How to make my printer - printing x and y correct dimension?
simple: circle 5cm, x dimension is 5cm, y is 4.9cm od 49mm
Scale it in your slicer to 101%.
The materials are shrinking. ABS is shrinking more than PLA.
All printed object not ok. 1mm wrong dimension, printed with aps and pla identicly error.
How to set y and x steps per mm, from makebot not posible, this is wrong. Y and x not identical steps.
Ahh sorry I didn’t see that X and Y are different.
I had the same problem after I changed the linear bearings.
The Y-Axis moved to stiff.
Reasons: to stiff bearing (misaligned) or to stiff drivebelt and/or one side is stiffer than the other.
mm/step should always be the same on both axis since the drive transmission is the same.
