What slicer, material temps speeds etc.?
Is this a new issue where it printed ok before or is this starting out not so good?
First thoughts would be to hot, maybe to fast, over extrusion.
I’m using the MakerBot slicer software. 200c extruded, and 50c on the bed. 3 shells, .200 quality, top and bottom layer at 1.2. And 30% infill. I don’t have active cooling yet, but will be trying that tonight.
I forgot the material is Atomic filament PLA
Temps look ok to start. Active cooling will probably make a difference. Also don’t print to fast. Maybe 40mm/sec. Work with that and get things dialed in. Once prints are going good then you can speed up if you want to the point it goes down hill again.
Too hot, too fast, too much.
Rule of thumb: When PLA shines like that, then youre too hot, go down in 5°C steps until theres a sort of matte look to the extrudate.
Benchy should be looking good at .2 layers.
Do the first layer REAL slow with some over extrusion to help it bond to a “cold” plate. The rest of the layers will bond to that one just fine.Without active cooling, dont put the bed up to 50°C as there will be a lot of energy (heat) that sits in the part while you print, keeping it all soft.
