Hi guys.
First post. I usually just plod along and try and get it solved when having an issue but im now at stage I cant figure out the issue.
So my problem is I have upgraded my CTC (I know they are rubbish I have heard it but this is what I have and would like to try and sort it out I dont have the money to buy a newer printer atm) with the mk8 extruder and some new thermocouples from a reputable amazon seller.
First issue was the steppers on the extruder were not working, I followed a guide and bought some new motor drivers just for the extruder feed x2 as nothing was coming out unless a applied some downward pressure to the filament.
After installing I Switched it on and the LCD is just showing squares, there is no start up beep and nothing past the illumination of the backlight on the LCD and the squares on screen.
I get the feeling something has blown, it isna 24v model and I have been careful to make sure everything is compatible before fitting.
My question is two part firstly:
can I repair the mightyboard?
if not can anyone reccommed a decent board for me to be able to swap out and get my printer working again.
I am at wits end as I have spent a few hundred pounds on it this last two weeks and haven’t been able to print a single thing, really gutted becuase I am going round in cirles and wasting money.
Any advice (other than the obvious buy a new printer) would be appreciated.
