Hello, I keep having issues with my CTC clone of makerbot replicator duel which when i connect it to the pc my pc detects it as an unidentified device and errored device also my gaming keyboard and mouse keep disconnecting and reconnecting is this an issue with the printer its self? I have just had a replacement motherboard as the previous one burnt out the USB chip and it did the same thing unidentified device and errors (lucky this one hasnt burnt out yet) I hope someone has an answer to this as i have been trying to get it connected so i can update the firmware as its stock firmware using X3G files. I have made sure that i have plugged it into a USB 2.0 not 3.0 as well as it only supports USB 2.0. Thanks in advance
I had all the drivers i needed i did have to get the drivers sent to me as they didnt come with the printer (i think they are the right ones they sent to me), i have tried to get all of those programs to connect to it but it disables my keyboard and mouse from working (Corsair K70 and Corsair Sabre) so im unable to check with it connected to the PC
I did use a different pc as well and it did the same thing also caused the screen to have lines going down it which was strange like feedback went to the pc.
If your last USB chip burned out, you mabe have an grounding/earthing issue. Is your PC on the same mains line? Or you try it with o notebook on battery supply, so you are ground free.
I haven’t tried it on a laptop did think about it but didnt have one to hand there is alot of ground points on the motherboard that arent connected to anything. And they are on the same mains power point could that effect the USB chip burning out?
Thanks to everyone that helped me with this I finally got it to connect to an old laptop and was able to update the firmware, i do have another problem with the extruder where it wont flow out which most other forums say its fown to the PTFE tube in the Hotend i was thinking about getting a All Metal Hotend as i heard good reviews on them anyone have one and got good prints with them? Cheers
