Hi I am very new to this and have encountered a problem. My printer was accidently reset to factory settings which took the firmware version back to creator 1 (it now thinks it is a single extruder model) I have tried to re-upgrade the firmware but cannot get it past version 5.2.

I have read quite a few posts but they haven’t helped.

Can anyone explain (in simple terms) the easiest way to restore my printer to a useful state.

In the menu there is an option to enable the second printer head.

FFF files are unique to simplify 3d,a paid slicer, it has nothing to do with this. This is firmware trouble, and the proper file will end with .hex.

You now must put the proper firmware on your bot. You MUST use repG40r33, available on thingiverse. Install sailfish 7.7, then factory reset again. All your offsets and pertinent information is available here http://www.sailfishfirmware.com/doc/parameters.html#x18-560022 37. Make sure you only install use rep1 our REPLICATOR DUAL profiles and firmware. Regardless of what ctc tells your, your clone is rep1 and not rep2. You can find “the manual” here it is full of really great information and should be included packaging. http://www.sailfishfirmware.com/doc/sailfish.html#install.html 22 Then you will use the lcd to tell it how many tools you have, you can also use onboard preferences on repG.
