Has anyone purchases a CTC printer directly from CTC and had it shipped to the USA?
1. How was your customer service experience?
2. How much was shipping?
3. Was shipping timely?
3. Did your printer come in undamaged and working?
I just ordered a Bizer II directly and want to make sure I will not be charged an outrageous amount for shipping to California and not have to wait too long.
Thanks!
I ordered directly. Customer service was fine during the ordering process. However I haven’t had to deal with them since. Shipping at the time for me was in the $80 CAD range at the time I believe. It had to go through several carriers and lots of customs people before I got it here in the east coast of Canada. Seemed like shipping took forever. Shipping was the most frustrating part. Then brokerage fees if I recall correctly. The printer was packed well and in good shape. Worked right out of the box. I have since done several modifications. Firmware, X/Y axis stabilizers, modified print bed to add a glass surface. It’s been a process but the printer has worked well so far.
Ctc customer service is the worst, bordering on fraudulent. The printer is worth the money if you know how to maintain it and you go into it realizing your on your own. The ctc is a capable machine, but you will get nothing but frustrated by the company
It doesn’t surprise me a bit. You’re absolutely right. If you’re comfortable with doing the footwork to maintain the printer it’s worth the money.
Hi Etang858,
I have bought many CTC printers my company Imagine That 3D actually sales their product. Shipping is also affordable and the printer always comes in great shape. Some times there are some components that do come lose on the motherboard however.
We are located in Utah please feel free to reach out with any question we would be more then happy to help you.
Thanks for all your feedback. I was able to get in contact with customer service. They seem to have some in stock in California. Los Angeles specifically so shipping for me shouldn’t be more than $20. That is what customer service told me via e-mail.
I guess I’m on my own after I receive the printer. I heart it is OK out of the box and requires several upgrades to get it performing well. Seems like you guys are repeating the same sentiment.
Thanks for the input!
