i have recently been given a ctc bizer and since ive had it ive been getting overheat errors but the tool hasent heated up, ive tryed different thermocouples installing sailfish nothing helps. i am running with the right extruder the left was removed. when it lets me go through the menu i can click the preheat and this screen is displayed heating right extruder: NA, Left Extruder 020c Platform 091/110c. is there a way i can run th left extruder only to avoid the problem. also the fan wont run on the extruder either. does anyone know what the cause of this is it?
You might want to make sure you uploaded the right version of sailfish (because you’re using a single extruder now) it might not have any effect on it but it could be a good idea to check and as for the part on using only the left you’d probably need to adjust your Toolhead offset in sailfish or the slicer.

I will try that thank you very much. As I keep experimenting with the printer it seams to be more of a software issue every time I turn the printer on a little led illuminates on the circuit board that’s labeled overheat even with all the extrudes and thermocouples disconnected.
You’re welcome and when you start printing with the printer you’ll want to abandon the makerbot slicer if you haven’t already. When I switched over to sailfish, my printer would stop after about ten layers but it worked fine after switching to S3d.
ok I will keep that in mind once I get this thing going
