That looks like you’re printing too hot to me although to be honest I print with PLA on my CTC at 220! I think they are’nt very accurate though so better off trying a lower temp and see how you get on. Are you sure you have the filament diameter set correctly?
Use a decent test print stl so we can see more clearly what is going on… something like this #3DBenchy - The jolly 3D printing torture-test by CreativeTools.se by CreativeTools - Thingiverse
Up your temps. I’ve noticed the ctc temp settings seem off, especially if using glass bed. I usually print dark colored place at around 220 nozzle, and 110 bed (those are the software settings, not actual temps, and on a glass bed. Temp on bed is actually around 80) lighter colors on the planet usually do good around 205 to 210. And I use copious amounts of hairspray on the glass prior to heating. Make sure the nozzle is close enough to the bed that the first layer is slightly smooshed.

thanks i found out the layer helght was 0.05 i was printing at its now 0.20mm printing better but when it starts printing a 20mm cal block it puts a blob too much just on one corner but all the other corner are great so i just dont no
Set it to do a couple skirts around your print. It will probably knock the blob off if your not already doing that
Trigger,
I don’t have any experience with that printer, or with PLA, but I have been looking into that filament and remember reading that a filament filter (see site below) soaked in olive oil makes it print better. Sounds weird, and I don’t understand why, but every blog I read (a lot) said this helped their prints. I’d also check your printer setting and any blogs with other people who have your printer, they might have the same problem as well.

Hi trigger99, have you tried the original slicer software that came with it (ReplicatorG) or Slic3r, I have the same printer - I guess - and it prints really well.
