After trying to upgrade my CTC printer to 7.7 sailfish firmware with Replicator was a failure, I than decided to use a small usb programmer following instruction I have seen on the net to upgrade the firmware. Big Mistake! My CTC is now not working with a blank screen and no chance to connect with pc. I have tried different way to upload the firmware and different firmware but after my second attempt which looked like the printer was showing some strange sign of life (when I was pushing the reset button it started to light up randomly the green lights and heating the estruder…) further attempts always give me the same message error:
Verification error first mismatch at byte 0x000
0x0c ! =0xff
verification error contest mismatch
I have no idea what that means, has anyone any suggestion on what to do?
If not can anyone suggest an easy and cheap way to repair it, maybe new main board? which main board is cheap and easy to install? What should I do to install the firmware without making a mess again? As you can see I am not an expert…
Please help I wanted to update my printer because I had lot of projects and wanted a better performance, now I have a broken ugly CTC…
