Very new to 3D and have a relatively new Creator Pro I received in “Open Box” condition. Sailfish 7.8 and the lastest FlashPrint.
When I try to level the platform or print, the platform rises to the top and hits the extruder heads without stopping. The adjustment screws appear to be fully tightened. In the Utilities\Home Axes menu the Z axis was originally set to 0. I tried changing that to a minus value but the issue didn’t change. After several print attempts I can’t get into that Axes menu now, since when I attempt to do that, the printer tries to print the last job and will run the platform up into the extruder heads again if I don’t stop it.
I have been able to restore to Factory Defaults and even reflash with Sailfish 7.8 from FlashPrint. Even this though doesn’t clear the last print job and the platform does it’s suicide thing if I try to access the Axes menu or print anything.
First if you flashed with the on-line version of Sailfish then that can be an issue. The version on the printer is specific to Flashforge.
Now, is there any glass plate or other surface on the bed? Use the manual movement controls to move the bed up and watch to see how close the limit switch is to hitting when the bed gets close to the nozzles.

Thank you for your response. I had a little time to take a closer look at the device today and discovered that the Z axis end stop board was in place but completely lacked the stop switch! I have ordered a replacement and will report back after installation.
I believe I did use the Sailfish version on FlashForge’s website but will double check that also.
Great when the solution is like an obvious one!
You can update firmware from Flashprint for that printer.
