CraftBot just made an announcement regarding the next generation of the CraftBot, called “PLUS”.
http://www.craftunique.com/forums/view-thread/922
The “plus” is the same as the original CraftBot, but with some enhancements:
- 24V PSU
- Main board updated (based on 24V as well an extra stepper driver for future dual extrusion)
- 24V bed heater element (faster heating and the HPB will reach 110 degrees)
- 24V hotend heater element. (faster heating)The hot-end is full aluminum in stead of PEEK
- Dampeners for the stepper motors (less noise)
No info regarding the price. I expect it will be slightly higher priced than the original CraftBot (now $870,- not including tax and shipping)
They are planning an update for Craftware (the slicer) as well CraftPrint (the firmware) as well.

Sounds good. Let me know when more info is available, cheers!
I would like to know when they are going to ship the EB1 units, They are only 8 Months late so far.
AFIK they are planning to ship the PLUS versions to the EB’s as well. I hope that will be soon
Hi all, the extruder hasn’t been upgraded in the final PLUS version. The CB/power supply is changed though to 24V (faster heating) and has an extra connector for a future optional extra extruder.
It has as well an option to resume printing after a power break (intended or not).
There’s a new version for MAC of Craftware as well, but it still has some troubles, which they promised to address: http://www.craftunique.com/forums/view-thread/1115
I really hope they are sending the last EB’s soon, as I feel somewhat ashamed we are selling the CB’s while the EB’s didn’t get them yet.
spam warning!:
About the price: it cost slightly more than the original: we sell the first CraftBot PLUS we received (in white) at 859,50 euro (tax/shipping excluded). www.craftbot.nl

The PLUS version of the CraftBot has all the features as announced except the metal hotend!
As I want to be able to print with higher temperatures than the PEEK barrel can withstand, I made a metal version of the CraftBot hotend. This hotend upgrade is also able to print flexible filaments reliable.
I made a couple for other CraftBot users too, and it seems to work out fine for everybody! So I have made a batch of 10 now, available at my webshop.
It’s a “drop in” replacement, so you don’t have to change anything at your CraftBot.
There’s a step-by-step manual available for download, so it’s easy to replace the original hotend.
