CR-10S Inconsistent Layering

I’ve been wrestling with this problem with my CR-10S with an e3d v6 hotend for quite a while now. The layering is quite inconsistent in the X and Y directions (and appears to be about the same in both).

I’ve gone through the hardware with a fine-toothed comb, and I am confident my belts are tight, axes are secure, and bolts are snug. I’m less sure about settings.

Changing speed, acceleration, and jerk does not change anything. Changing temperature does not change anything.

This was printed in Hatchbox Black PLA at 195C/60C with a 100% flow rate at 50mm/s.

Note: the print looks good from the side, but horrible from this angle.

I’d say the extruding temperature is a little too low but you already said changing the temp doesnt do anything. I do notice that my machine starts stuttering if things are TOO tight, like to the point where the stepper motors really have to work to move belts and z-screws. I’m very new to 3d printing myself, but I just wanted to see if my two cents could help

Have you checked the filament extrusion with a cube yet? I’ve found that printers can be off as much as .4 millimeter on a 20mm sided cube. Here’s a good article on how to tune your extrusion. That might fix your problem. How To Calibrate Your 3D Printer's Extruder | MatterHackers
