I am looking at an ever-increasing pile of failed PLA prints and don’t know what to do with it. Local recycling companies won’t take it because it’s not “commercial grade PLA”. Someone in Germany offered I send it over for recycling, and I may do this, but it seems not a very low-carbon-footprint method, or at least not something I would want to keep doing in future. (I am in Amsterdam).

I read stories of how PLA is supposed to be bio-degradable, but not a single story of someone who has actually successfully done this (for 3D printing PLA).

Anyone here composting PLA?

that’s true for ANY composting. Question was, is anyone actually doing this, and if the cost of the heat is actually cost-effective.
