I have a .STL file for a name plate for installation on the face plate of a columbarium niche at my church. We’ve had problems with the original etched brass plates corroding to the point of being illegible after less than 20 years. The columbarium is outside so we are looking for something that would standup to the weather, obviously for a long time. I was wondering about 3D printing with ABS filament. I’d like the base to be a dark brown or perhaps black with the lettering to be a untarnished bronze color (second choice gold). We’re looking to mimic a cast bronze plaque. Retrofitting all existing brass plates with 3D ABS would represent approximately 100 plaques. Each plate would be the same size and hole pattern, but would naturally have a different name as well as DOB and DOD. Any thoughts?
