Hi,
I am planning to buy a colorfabb value pack.
What are your expericences with a big pack with lots of different colors ?
I think that 50 percent will only one be used eventualy. Does anyone have some recomendations about choosing the colors ?

Check the 3D Hubs monthly trend forecast of the most commonly used filament colors. After looking at the statistics, you can look this from two perspectives… either bulk in the not so popular colors and be one of the unique hubs with a particular color, or bulk in the most commonly chosen colors.
A safe choice would be selecting a few roles white/black/ ,special filaments and some specific colors that you would use of could be nice for others as an accent color.

Thanks Kengiang,
You make clearly a point. I guess i should reconsider the 12 different colors i’ve chose

Geen probleem! Succes ermee.

Iv’e seen the packs, they offer 40 grams of fillament/collor thats about 13 marvin figures. However if you are using a printer with the extruder on the back ( ultimaker). you will lose 25% of that 40 grams… so for 20 dollars is it worth it ? In my opinion, No For 26 dollars you can have 700grams basic white collor. A paint spray can will cost you 5 dollars…

I mean the value pack, not the sample pack. I am considering to buy 16 spools of 750 gr. because of the discount 3d hubs offer.
Thanks anyway for your reply
I just received the white from colorfabb and its more of a cream white, I see they have a bluewhite and wonder if that is more the pure white I was expecting, so double check what you are ordering is what you expect!
I would also put a vote in for the blue grey as I really liked that colour and pretty much used the whole spool after I set it up, also I think if you get a value pack you get some specials as well so you should grab a role of woodfill, its easy to print(if a bit oozy) and gives a nice finish and can be a good talking point over the stock plastic.

Hi @pierceyuk,
Great advise! The blue grey was indeed on my list. But now you mention it. I think I take two spools of them.
I am very curious about the woodfill. Is it true its smell like wood when printing ?
No worries it’s a nice colour the blue grey, when ever I order a spool I ask my other half to pick a random colour and that was one of my favourites. For the woodfill yes! It smells like a kind of mdf as it’s printing, it’s quite pleasant! I have printed several things with it and got a whole spool after the sample ran out as it’s quite fun to have printed things that feel like wood and have some more texture to them(although that might be my printing!)
