Is it possible to fit a DC Router to the Anet A8 ?

Hi there,

I wouldn’t recommend this, the Anet’s frame isn’t sturdy enough to handle the forces of CNC routing. You could potentially re purpose some of the components (the steppers, maybe some smooth rods) and build a router from scratch, but I wouldn’t recommend it with the stock frame.

I did fit a PCB drill on a A6. so it might be possible on A8, too, although there are different extruder carriages

Hi. I think I will give the idea a miss . I will look for a combo 2 in 1 cnc Router / Laser Engraver Any ideas here. ? Am I out of order asking this here. ?
